INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR 2011/2012


Dear Student,

You are welcome to the University of Ibadan, the Premier University in Nigeria. I want to congratulate you on your admission into the 'First and Best'.

Please note that you will not be allowed to matriculate and therefore become a bona-fide student of this University, if you do not complete all the stipulated registration processes.

For a hitch-free Fee Payment/Registration Exercise you are advised to abide strictly with the following guidelines:

PAYMENT AT THE FACULTY
After collecting the 'Authority to Pay' please proceed to the Bank to pay your fees as detailed in the schedule of fees. You are requested to collect a Registration Package from the Admissions Office with evidence of payment.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL CHARGES/GES & ACCOMMODATION THROUGH U.I PORTAL FOR ALL FRESHERS

STEP 1:
Obtain your School Charges Access Code PIN from any of the following banks listed below through SW Pin System. You will be issued access PIN upon payment at the bank listed below.
MAINSTREET BANK WEMA BANK FIRST BANK

STEP 2:
Visit the U.I. Portal www.portal.ui.edu.ng and type in your JAMB Registration Number at” NEW STUDENTS SHOULD CLICK HERE TO LOGIN” to view your Matriculation Number, Hall of Residence and Room Number.

New Students Login (Matric Nos)
UserName: Your Matriculation Number
Password: password


Read the terms and conditions, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "I Agree" at the bottom of the page.

STEP 3:
A Fee Payment web page will be displayed, click on "Pay your fee" (on the top right corner of the page) to select your fee items.

STEP 4:
Click on “Add Selected Items to my Pay list” Select the fee items that you want to pay for; e.g  Bundled(School fee/Accommodation Levy).

STEP 5:
Click on "Proceed" and wait for the PIN confirmation page. Select "PIN" mode of payment and click on Post Now.

WARNING: Please read the "Warning Instuctions" displayed before you enter the PIN.

STEP 6:
At the "Payment Information (PIN)" page, carefully enter your PIN number (Obtained from the Bank) and click Post now and wait for the payment confirmation page.
Click on "Finish". Printout the payment confirmation page.

Please note that once your payment is successful, you will be taken directly to your personalised school portal page and you are MANDATED to change your password and update your personal details before you do anything on the portal.

To update your personal details:
Click on "Click to edit your personal data form" at the top right hand corner of the page.
Fill in your personal data and click "Update" at the top right hand corner.
Please note that changes will not be saved until you click "Update"

STEP 7:
Proceed to your Finance office with a copy of the payment confirmation page to collect your Official School Receipt. You can Check the status of your school receipt at finance office at www.streceipt.ui.edu.ng

STEP 8:
Proceed to your department to obtain your Courses and login on UI Portal with your NEW Password.  Click on “My Courses” to view all your Courses. Add new Courses by typing the Course Code e.g GES102 in “Add more Courses”. click on check box to add Elective Courses to your Course listing. After completing your courses on the Course listings, click on “SAVE” and then “SUBMIT”.
Click on "Finish".
